Absolute Yachts arrives
Premier Marine adds revered Italian motoryacht marque to its portfolioPremier Marine, the luxury-boating hub on Sydney Harbour, has added Absolute Yachts to its handpicked portfolio of pleasure boats.
The established Italian boat builder enjoys a strong following overseas and now is set to make waves throughout Australia, with a new 55 Fly already on order for a local customer.
“Each bespoke Absolute power yacht is built to be a true reflection of her proud owner, as Absolute is focused on being special and standing out in a sea of sameness,” explains Premier Marine’s brand manager, Lee Poulson.
With boats ranging from 40 to 72 feet, Absolute caters for the mainstream in respect of motoryacht size. But within this league the Italian boat builder makes a statement and challenges perceptions of what luxury boating is all about.
“The response from our customers has been exceptional. Even though I just got back from a visit to the factory, I’m heading over there again in a few weeks to show another prospective client through the range,” Steve Hannes, dealer principal at Premiere Marine, told BoatPoint and boatsales.
Founded in 2002, Absolute operates out of one of the world’s most impressive boat-building plants, about one hour south of Milan, where the emphasis is on exceptional design and style using advanced technology and innovation.
To this end, Absolute is regarded as an IPS pioneer, as it was one of the very first manufacturers to develop a close working relationship with Volvo and build hulls to suit its game-changing pod technology.
Hannes says he has found something special with Absolute. “I was on a covert mission from some special clients, who asked me to travel the European boating circuit and find the latest luxury boat brands for our market,” he explains.
“After attending numerous boat shows overseas, I’d almost given up. It’s difficult to satisfy every client’s desire in one brand and model. But then I found Absolute Yachts and I’m confident we’re on a winner,” Hannes says.
Now in production, the 55 Fly is the first Absolute to head to Premier Marine’s waterfront business at Rose Bay Marina on Sydney Harbour. Due to arrive in October, the 55 will be the subject of a celebratory unveiling of the brand.
