Recognised throughout the world for its superb cruising yachts, Bavaria Yachts has recently launched an exciting new range, said ABS.
The Victorian dealer said the new yachts, ranging from 31ft to 50ft, are designed to be easily sailed shorthanded while other improvements include larger cockpit areas, premium timber finishes as well as increased light and ventilation in the cabin.
Scott O'Hare from ABS (Melbourne) said he was thrilled with the opportunity to promote and distribute Bavaria Yachts at such an exciting time for the company.
"With 30 years experience as quality boatbuilders, Bavaria has long held a reputation for its strong, seaworthy and easily-handled cruising yachts," said O'Hare.
"The new direction for 2008 and beyond will no doubt build on the company's long-standing success, particularly with the introduction of a number of practical improvements.
"Bavaria has opted for a modern solution for handling the mainsheet, which now leads back to two self-tailing winches in the cockpit near the helm.
"This means the helmsperson can now trim the mainsheets from the wheel - a huge advantage for solo sailors or small crew," O'Hare said.
Perfect for cruising the Pacific, shooting around the sticks on Wednesday nights or just a lazy weekend on the water with family and friends, Bavaria yachts have the space and versatility to please every sailor, said ABS.
The dealership debuted as Victorian Bavaria Yachts at the recent Sydney International Boat Show and the expressions of interest from buyers there will determine which Bavaria models will be stocked in the short term at ABS's Williamstown base, with a long-term goal of buyers being able to view all models in Melbourne.
Both new and used models will be available from the national Bavaria dealer network, said ABS.
