The East Coast Luxury Aquatic Travellers Club (ECLAT) is a marina berthing exchange program on the Australian eastern seaboard. The marinas involved to date are: Runaway Bay Marina Qld, Soldiers Point Marina, Port Stephens NSW, Empire Marina Bobbin Head NSW and Gladesville Bridge Marina Sydney Harbour.
Luke McCaul from Abell Point Marina at Airlie Beach in the beautiful Whitsundays, is the latest marina to come on board and was thrilled at being approached to join ECLAT: "I am delighted that Abell Point Marina was considered to become a part of the ECLAT club, where our permanent guests are offered complimentary club membership allowing them to get reciprocal berthing at the other ECLAT marinas and other benefits, at no extra cost," he said.
General Manager Darrell Barnett CMM of Soldiers Point Marina the founding member of the ECLAT Club said: "We are delighted to have Abell Point Marina as part of ECLAT, it’s great to offer our club members the option of travelling to north Queensland to enjoy their outstanding hospitality especially in our southern cooler winter months," he said.
"Many of our club members have really embraced the opportunities offered by ECLAT and move between the marinas at their leisure," Mr Barnett said.
"Between the five marinas involved we have achieved many awards including five Gold Anchors and Australian Marinas of the Year not to mention all our significant environmental accreditations," he said.
