A 'Year of Innovation' for Sea-Doo

With stock of the new 300hp engine arriving, it's all systems go for Sea-Doo in 2016

From inventing the world’s first on-water brake system to the introduction of a whole new affordable watercraft with the Sea-Doo Spark, BRP says it's all about innovation and design. That ethos continues with the arrival of the new 300hp Sea-Doo in Australia this month.

Sea-Doo says the introduction of the new 300hp Sea-Doo (reviewed here) has made the rest of the industry sit up and take notice. The new Rotax 1630 ACE incorporates technology that generates 15 per cent more power with only 9 per cent more displacement, packing an amazing amount of punch into an engine of its size and weight, enthuses BRP.

This compact, high-performance engine has also given Sea-Doo engineers more design freedom to develop exclusive ergonomic improvements. The Exclusive Sea-Doo Ergolock promises unmatched comfort and control like never before. The second generation of iBR has been refined for even better performance, allowing stopping 48m sooner.

The handlebars have also been redesigned providing better support, more comfort and better grip. And there are cool new colours, graphics, accessories and kit.

Sea-Doo says the first shipment of the new production-made 300hp Sea-Doo, which you can order here, have been allocated to Australia and New Zealand, with the first units due to arrive mid-December 2015, right before Christmas and ready for the summer.

Since the launch of the new platform in September 2015, consumer demand is said to be ever growing and multiple enthusiasts have already booked their unit to be one of the first in Australia and New Zealand to experience the ride of the ultimate watercraft in the market.

With the introduction of the new platform and technologies, Sea-Doo says it has reaffirmed its place as the number one PWC manufacturer by continuously leading the industry in cutting-edge design, engineering, innovation and by offering the most complete line up in the market.

From the playful and accessible Sea-Doo Spark, to the powerful RXP-X, RXT-X 300hp, including towing sport Wake, luxury and comfortable rides with GTX 155 & GTX 300 and the versatile GTI 130 / 155, Sea-Doo has something for all riders.

"Thanks to our geographic, manufacturing and product diversification and our solid execution, we delivered strong results for the third quarter," said José Boisjoli, president and CEO of BRP. "During the [last 2015] quarter, we entered the largest segment of the side-by-side industry by launching the Can-Am Defender utility model and it has received very positive reviews by media and dealers alike. On the ATV and PWC side, our products performed well by registering continued market share gains."
