A new toughie from Bar Crusher

A smaller vessel with big features

Fishermen and women around the country need no introduction to Bar Crusher boats. The heavy-duty plate aluminium boats the company produces are regarded by serious offshore fishers as almost perfect vessels to take on the sometimes adverse conditions found at sea.

Bar Crusher's unique 'Waveslicer' deep-vee hull slices through chop, deflects spray and handles brilliantly when running in a following sea. Married with the company’s 'Rigideck' sub-floor bracing system and the 4mm bottom plate and 3mm commercial marine-grade plate use on the topsides, the boats are virtually unbreakable.

The new boat in Bar Crusher's award-winning Hard Top range is the 610HT, which is also the smallest of the Hard Tops. Measuring 6.10 metres overall and with a beam of 2.25 metres, the 610HT promises to follow its larger siblings and deliver the smoothest ride of any aluminium boat in its class on the market.

Like all Bar Crushers, the 610HT is fitted with Quickflow water ballast technology, a cavity that runs the length of the keel and which quickly fills with water when the boat is at rest. This extra water lowers the chines into the water to provide a more stable platform for fishing. As soon as the boat starts to move, the water drains out and it can leap effortlessly onto the plane.

The 610HT's tall windscreen of toughened safety glass and the hard top allow full standing headroom at the helm and an unobstructed 360 degree view. The spacious cockpit provides ample room for fishing, with high gunwales for safety and toe slots for comfort.

The cockpit floor is chequered tread plate, providing a heavy-duty and easy-to-clean surface. A 140 litre fuel tank is fitted.

The cuddy cabin has two functional bunks for camping overnight and a hatch that gives easy access to the anchor well. An option anchor winch can be fitted in the bow.

The new Bar Crusher 610HT will be on display at the Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane boat shows.
