A Bit on the Side

Melbourne marine retailer and manufacturer Streaker Boats has released a new side-console fibreglass craft for the dedicated fishing boat market

The new 458 Tournament Console hull is based on the 458 Series hull.

Manoeuvrability and fishing space are said to be key benefits of the profile of the 458 Tournament Console. It has a hull length of 4.58m and a 2.11m beam.

The company says that when underway the 17 degrees of deadrise and the underfloor construction strength of the Streaker design assure a safe and comfortable ride. Rated to a maximum of 90hp, the hull is said to deliver smooth performance and handling when powered by Yamaha’s fuel-injected F60 four-stroke outboard.

Features include a forward raised casting platform with swivel seat, a standard bow-mounted Minn Kota electric trolling motor, a plumbed livebait well, inbuilt tackle storage under the casting platform, electronics, a removable baitboard on the transom, stainless steel rodholders, and pop-up cleats in the coamings.
