2023 Maritimo S75 motor yacht revealed

Maritimo's largest model yet, the S75, makes its global debut

The Maritimo S75, the Gold Coast-based luxury motor yacht maker’s largest model yet, has officially launched at the 2023 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

The new $6.1 million model, featuring a long, low-slung profile, is the current flagship of the Maritimo fleet. However, Maritimo has already said it will have the M75, the flybridge-equipped model, ready to show alongside the S75 later this year.

The S75 kicks off Maritimo’s 20th-anniversary celebrations since the brand was founded in 2003, with its first model launched in 2004 – that boat, a Maritimo 60, is still in the hands of its original owner.

The Maritimo S75 measures 23.1 metres in length overall with a 6.0-metre beam, making it long and narrow in a hull design that’s been optimised over the years for safe and confident bluewater cruising.

The new model has been more than two years in the making, tapping heavily into Maritimo’s existing customer base to shape a practical and user-friendly luxury motor yacht.

A defining feature of the Maritimo M75’s design is a vast “adventure deck” filling the aft section of the motor yacht and incorporating a large lowering swim deck.

Stepping aboard via the swim platform, the aft section of the Maritimo S75 feels like a much larger yacht. The open transom and Portofino-style coamings create a strong sense of space.

Wide side desks to either side of the cockpit lead forward to the bow where luxuries include a Portuguese-style lounge in front of a large sunbed.

Despite being a sedan, the Maritimo S75 is designed to be a practical cruiser, taking advantage of the saloon roof as storage space for tenders and everything else from stand-up paddle boards to jet skis. A 500kg-rated davit is on the options list.

This model differs from every other member of the S-series family in that access to the saloon roof is via a floating staircase up from the cockpit rather than a ladder mounted against the aft bulkhead.

Inside, the Maritimo S75 features an aft galley with premium appliances that connects with the mezzanine space directly outside.

Large windows allow plenty of natural light to flow into the saloon, which features a forward lounge fitted out for dining and entertaining, including a 65-inch TV that rises from the fascia and swivels to face forward or aft. A cruising lounge forward provides company for the skipper and first mate while passage-making, protected behind a large curved windscreen.

Below decks is a full-beam master stateroom fitted with a king-size bed, and a three-quarter beam ensuite bathroom. Large hull windows let plenty of light into the space.

The forward stateroom houses an offset queen-size bed with an ensuite, with twin berths and a single amidships sharing a bathroom that also serves as the day head. This first boat off the production line replaces one of the staterooms with an open office space.

Powering the motor yacht is a pair of highly fuel-efficient 1150hp ??Scania Di16 engines, with the Maritimo S75 believed to be the largest yet to use the V8 turbo-diesel powerplants. Owners have the option of upgrading the drive systems to twin 1625hp MTU 2000 Series V10 engines.

Maritimo has teased that it will reveal the M75, the flybridge version of the S75, in July.
