Jeanneau has teased the DB/37, the all-new second model that will join the larger DB/43 in the French brand’s growing luxury dayboat range.
However, it will be late January next year before we see the new model in full, with Jeanneau booking the DB/37 ion for a 2023 Dusseldorf Boat Show debut.
The new DB/37 follows the same overall design as the larger boat, the DB/43, including the plumb bow that maximises the amount of interior room carried forward. However, it is not known if the new model will gain the same drop-down sides that vastly increase the aft cockpit space.
And while the larger DB/43 comes with either twin inboard or triple outboard engines, the teaser video released of the DB/37 shows it with a sterndrive.
Key to the DB/43 are large and comfortable outdoor living spaces, while below decks the design features luxury-laden and light-filled aft accommodations for the owner, as well as a VIP guest suite built into the bow.
In between the accommodations, the DB/43 features a compact galley to port and a shared head and shower to starboard.
So far, no details about life below decks on the DB/37 are known.
In terms of passagemaking, the smaller Jeanneau DB/37 shares the same three-seat helm as the larger 43, although on the smaller boat the seats are arranged together, not split into skipper and crew like the DB/43.
Overhead, the semi-enclosed saloon space features the same swept, low design as the DB/43, suggesting that this element is something of a DB styling signature.
The 2023 Dusseldorf Boat Show runs from January 21 to 29, 2023.
