Organisers behind the annual Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show have opened the books to exhibitors keen to be a part of next year’s running of the event.
The 2022 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show is scheduled to run from May 19-22 next year, and follows on from one of the most successful shows in the event’s history, held earlier this year.
The 2021 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show attracted around 51,000 visitors through its gates and generated a record $250 million in new-boat sales, including the sale of a Horizon RP100 superyacht believed to be worth around $12 million within hours of the show opening its doors.
Jon Hasser, the general manager for SCIBS organiser Mulpha Group, said returning exhibitors were encouraged to register before Tuesday, November 9 to receive priority access to their preferred space in the wake of the unprecedented demand.
“We’ve been inundated with phone calls and enquiries from exhibitors ever since the 2021 show ended, asking when they can sign up for next year,” Hasser said.
“As more Australians than ever hit the water, there has never been a better time for exhibitors to take part.”
The 2022 show will include what organisers say is an improved layout with 25,000 square metres dedicated to trailer boats – one of the categories to show strong growth compared with previous years.
The next show will also include more premium inclusions and more undercover marina space.
The four-day event is also important for the recreational marine industry, with networking opportunities and exclusive events including the Industry Trade Breakfast, the annual ASMEX Conference, International Business Lounge and “a range of exhibitor functions designed to connect the industry and power it forward”, Mulpha said.
