Boston Whaler has teased an all-new version of its Boston Whaler 360 Outrage that it claims will set a new standard of excellence in the 10.0- to 11.0-metre centre console segment.
The new model will introduce sweeping changes for the brand, including the option of swapping out an onboard genset for a bank of lithium-ion batteries that can provide all the boat’s electrical needs at rest.
“Designed from the keel up to maximise space and functionality, the 360 Outrage delivers an effortless boating experience and a tremendous amount of flexibility, combining classic Whaler lines with the latest advancements in electrification and maximised performance,” Boston Whaler said in a release teasing a single image of the new model.
“Maximised performance” means that the new Boston Whaler 360 Outrage takes a big leap forward, adopting twin 600hp Mercury V12 Verado outboard engines to hang off the transom in high-spec versions – the Boston Whaler 350 Outrage it displaces could only pack triple 300hp performance.
Boston Whaler hints it also added more fishing-friendly features to the new 360 Outrage, although it doesn’t dive into any details yet of exactly what has improved with this model.
The single overhead image shows what appears to be a narrower lounge in front of the centre console topped in a Targa roof that runs across the full internal beam of the boat.
The Targa roof looks as though it extends further aft than on the 350 Outrage, offering a little more weather protection to the pair of transom-mounted seats.
The transom is now curved rather than straight, with a walkaround space on the outboard engine pod that looks extremely compact due to the fixed-mount V12 Verado engines.
The Boston Whaler 360 Outrage officially will be unveiled at the 2022 Miami International Boat Show, which kicks off in the US on February 16.
