2021 Yamaha WaveRunner, Superjet pricing revealed

Modest price rises across Yamaha’s 2021 jet ski range, with the stand-up Superjet almost sold out

Yamaha has announced modest price rises – between $100 and $500 – across most of its 2021 model range, which is due in Australian showrooms from November through February, in the peak of the summer season.

The 2021 Yamaha WaveRunner was unveiled in the US earlier this week, but dealers in Australia have already been briefed on price and spec changes.

As reported by boatsales.com.au earlier, the 2021 Yamaha WaveRunner range will include major updates for the middle-of-the-range VX series and high-performance GP1800R, as well as the highly-anticipated return to the local market of the SuperJet stand-up watercraft.

Numerous dealers have told boatsales.com.au they sold out of their initial allocation the day the SuperJet was announced. Customers who order one today may need to wait until early 2021 to take delivery.

The entry-level Yamaha WaveRunner EX series and flagship Yamaha WaveRunner FX series receive colour and trim changes for 2021 because they were introduced as completely new models in 2017 and 2019 respectively.

Three-cylinder benchmark

The Yamaha SuperJet – now powered by a four-stroke, three-cylinder 1.0-litre engine – kicks off the range from $13,999 not including registration.

That price is $2000 more than the previous-generation SuperJet cost in Australia in 2018 ($11,999 not including registration), however, the 2021 model is more powerful and a completely new design.

Despite the weakening Australian dollar over the past 12 months, price rises across the rest of the 2021 Yamaha WaveRunner range have been capped between $100 and $500. See the full list below, as well as the current estimated arrival times.

All prices listed include GST – but exclude trailer and registration fees, which typically add between $1500 and $2000 to the RRP.
