The 2021 Sea-Doo range has been revealed in the US overnight ahead of an Australian showroom arrival in November – and certain models will have an industry-first ‘debris removal button’ to clear the intake grate should the craft ingest seaweed or junk.
The 2021 Sea-Doo FishPro comes in for its first colour change since the model was introduced two years ago – to arctic white with blue highlights.

Price of the 2021 model has increased by just $200 to $20,699 not including trailer and registration (which typically add $1500 to $2000). Optional Bluetooth speakers add $1000.
As well as the original four rod holders on the cooler box, Sea-Doo has added the option of extra fishing rod holders near the rider’s knee area, to minimise reel damage by saltwater spray when mounted on the rear of the craft – and to make it easier to fish while trolling.
2021 Sea-Doo range highlights:
The 2021 Sea-Doo Fish Pro is one of four models to debut the company’s revolutionary and industry-first ‘Intelligent Debris Free’ pump system (IDF).
Sea-Doo claims IDF “quickly and effectively clears debris from the water pump intake with a touch of a button”.
The IDF system is standard on the 2021 Sea-Doo Fish Pro and GTX Limited and optional on the GTX 170 and GTX 230.
After switching the engine off and pressing a button, the system reverses the water flow near the intake grate to rid any debris.
“Debris such as seaweed and other vegetation is a constant challenge for riders, regardless of whether they’re taking a joy ride on a lake or running weed lines offshore,” Sea-Doo Fish Pro ambassador Bri Andrassy said in a statement.
“The (Sea-Doo) design and engineering teams listened, and this revolutionary new IDF technology is going to be a game-changer to make it an easier, less-stressful ride.”
The popular supercharged RXT-X 300 – also one of the fastest watercraft on the market – switches from green to a yellow colour scheme for 2021, a nod to its 2015 predecessor.
The 2021 Sea-Doo Fish Pro retains the 1630cc non-supercharged 170hp engine introduced last year, which was an upgrade from the 1503cc non-supercharged 155hp engine introduced with the original model in late 2018.
Most other Sea-Doo models in the 2021 line-up amount to carryover colours or minor trim changes.
However, the high-performance Sea-Doo RXP-X 300 has come in for its biggest overhaul in nine years, with a new deck and hull. You can read about that model here.
The other big news for the 2021 Sea-Doo range is the class-leading high-resolution 7.8-inch widescreen digital dash available on the flagship luxury model.
With smartphone connectivity and a third-party app, a rider can see where his or her buddy is if they have a Sea-Doo with the same new digital display, and agree to share each other’s location.
The 7.8-inch widescreen – adapted from motorcycles and snow-mobiles from Sea-Doo’s sister brands CanAm and Ski-Doo – has clear visibility even in bright sunlight, and will be available on the top-of-the-range GTX Limited.
Sea-Doo says it is the watercraft industry’s “first app-enabled Bluetooth display, providing full control of music, navigation, weather and more, all while keeping both hands on the handlebars”.
The 2021 Sea-Doo model range is expected to arrive in Australia later this year.
