Tickets have officially gone on sale for the 2021 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show ahead of the event’s official opening on May 20.
This year, the event is targeting the high end of town with the addition of the Lagoon Lounge overlooking the newly installed superyacht berths and InterContinental Hotel pool.
The lounge will feature private custom-designed corporate cabanas for up to 10 guests, along with a tailored menu celebrating fresh local cuisine, premium beverage packages, and a personal food and drinks waiter.
Single-day general admission tickets are now available for $23 plus booking fees, while children aged less than 16 are admitted free. RACQ members gain a half-price discount.
Visitors can buy a limited number of entries to the Lagoon Lounge for $199.
SCIBS general manager Johan Hasser said despite the new luxury focus, the Sanctuary Cove show would still cater to a range of marine enthusiasts with diverse interests.
“SCIBS has proven to be the foremost event on the southern hemisphere’s boating and lifestyle calendar, so it is only fitting that we continue to ramp up our VIP offerings that cater to those looking for an exclusive and luxurious experience,” Hasser said.
“We gather the best in marine innovation, but we are so much more than a boat show.
“Each year our team strives to create a memorable four days of live entertainment, gourmet food and drink offerings, and enticing activations the entire family can partake in, all of which play part in the quintessential marine lifestyle.”
The Sanctuary Cove show – cancelled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and later replaced with November’s smaller Sanctuary Cove Boating Festival – runs from May 20-23.
More than 45,000 people have attended previous events, with up to 330 exhibitors with boats and marine products on display.
