2021 Prestige 690 revealed

Prestige’s F-Line flybridge motor yacht range gains a new flagship model with accommodation for up to three couples and two crew

Prestige, the luxury motor yacht arm of French boatmaker Jeanneau, has revealed the Prestige 690, an all-new flybridge cruiser that will join its showroom for 2021.

Teased as part of a showroom refresh that adds four new models to the growing Prestige range, when it arrives next year in time for January’s Dusseldorf Boat Show the 21.5-metre Prestige 690 will become the flagship of the F-Line flybridge line-up.

The new model incorporates a completely open flybridge overhanging the cockpit that adds more than 22 square metres of extra living space to the boat’s layout.

Features on the flybridge include an optional island lounge and lounge chairs, or an outdoor saloon with what Prestige describes as a “comfortable sofa”.

The flybridge also comes fitted out with a dining area for up to six people, and a large, fully equipped galley.

“Everything has been foreseen for entertaining with a magnificent view of the sea, without having to step downstairs,” Prestige said.

“The helm station with adjustable seating is fully integrated into this space.

“Carbon-fibre helm seats with double armrests offer the driver and his guests an ideal position for comfortable cruising.”

The Prestige 690 will be available with either three or four staterooms with a master suite in the bow, and two twin suites amidships. A fourth twin single stateroom can be optioned aft.

A large swim deck hanging off the transom of the Prestige 690 steps up to a cockpit space with a large forward-facing lounge.

Inside the saloon, the Prestige 690 features an aft galley with island bench to port, and a large dinette to starboard.

Forward of that is a large C-shaped lounge area to port with a flat-screen TV to starboard, sitting behind the lower helm.

The twin-seat lower helm features a wide, flat dash with three touchscreens, and a joystick for controlling the powerful Volvo Penta engines. The boat is also equipped with a bow thruster.

The lower accommodations all feature long, low windows that let in natural light, and opening portholes for natural airflow.

The master, VIP and guest suites all include an ensuite bathroom with separate shower, while the aft crew accommodation includes a shower and toilet with the option of a separate 50-litre holding tank.

US-market specification includes a 81,000BTU reverse-cycle chilled water air-conditioning system, and an upgrade from the standard 17.5kW genset to a larger 29kW system.

The Dusseldorf Boat Show runs from January 23-30.
