The Malibu WakeSetter 23LSV, Malibu’s best-selling boat globally, has had a big makeover ahead of an Australian version making its debut later this year.
Malibu describes the WakeSetter 23LSV as “the best-selling towboat in history”. Changes include a big update to exterior styling, a new bench seat that converts into a table, more shade via an extended bimini, and a convenient transom walkover.

“Improving on this is no small task, and the Malibu team has done an amazing job in designing this all-new 23LSV for 2021.
“Representing the perfect blend of performance, function and comfort – the 23LSV sits well respected within our LSV model line-up.
“I’m excited to begin manufacture of this new model shortly, where we’ll see families on the water for the beginning of summer.
“Our network of specialists is taking orders now, with display stock available in local showrooms from October onwards.”
The Malibu WakeSetter 23LSV is the first of a number of rolling model updates that the brand plans to announce.
Malibu said the midsize Malibu WakeSetter 23LSV’s "big boat feel along with massive wake performance and sleek lines bring it into a class all on its own".
Buyers can configure the wake, surf and ski boat with either the Diamond Multi-Sport Hull to leverage all sporting disciplines, or the Wake Plus Hull to maximise wake performance for board sports.
"Combined with Malibu’s Power Wedge III and Surf Gate technology, wakes and waves can be dialled in to suit individual riders so that all abilities can experience the performance Malibu Boats’ name was built on," Malibu said.
Other features that are new for 2021 include more billet design accents, a redesigned LSV sound-system, and new G5 tower design with more storage options.
In a nod to the comfort of everyone on board waiting to get out behind the Malibu WakeSetter 23LSV, the boat now has a system built into the GX tower that sprays a cooling mist of water.
Other changes include a new dash design to make it more ergonomic, flip-up seats with hinges positioned for more convenient under-seat storage access; flip-down rear entry steps; the redesigned Wet Sounds audio system, and a rear swim platform with integrated flip-down step.
No pricing has been announced.
