Makocraft has dropped tantalising details of the newest member of its X-Series fibreglass boat range, the Makocraft 530 X-Offshore.
The new offshore running specialist will take a traditional hull and refine it using modern production techniques, documents shown to boatsales.com.au reveal.
The newest member of Makocraft’s X-Series range of fibreglass boats, the Makocraft 530 X-Offshore centre console will feature a Carolina-style flared bow, stretch 5.3 metres long, and feature a deep V variable deadrise ranging between 19 and 38 degrees.
“A truly dedicated offshore vessel has got to be one of the toughest challenges any boat designer can ever undertake,” Makocraft said in a document detailing how it plans to equip the new boat once it goes on sale.

Makocraft owner Tim Stessel said he loved the ride and handling of classic time-proven boat design, which helped narrow down the hunt for what would sit under the new boat.
The new Makocraft 530 X-Offshore will feature a full composite build using “various different” composites not available to the hull’s original designers, allowing Makocraft to “improve” on the original design.
“By completely doing away with wood and using various different composites we are able to significantly lighten the weight of the vessel above the waterline and increase the glass and resin weights below the waterline,” it said.
“What you end up with is the same exceptional proven ride, a stronger hull and most importantly, a lower centre of gravity.”
Makocraft will build the 530 X-Offshore with a fully flat floor, and with a sealed deck and an enclosed battery compartment, The 700mm freeboard interior will be fully customisable depending on the owner’s needs.
Under the floor, the boat will feature two-part closed cell foam to help with buoyancy.

Other features such as forward and aft casting platform modules with waterproof hatches, under-gunwale rod storage, live bait tanks, rear steps, and electric motor mounts are all likely to be offered.
Other optional features are expected to include SeaDek flooring, a dual-battery system, bait board, raw water deck wash and a bow roller.
Standard features are expected to run to a flow-coated anchor well, stainless steel tow eyes, a centre console, hydraulic steering, four stainless steel rod holders, side pockets, and navigation and anchor lights.
Makocraft will fully reveal the new Makocraft 530 X-Offshore at this week’s 2021 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.
