The Jeanneau Yachts 60 has finally made its real-world global debut after missing out on its world premiere at January’s coronavirus-hit 2021 Boot Dusseldorf.
Looking nothing like the sailboat it replaces, the new Jeanneau Yachts 60 will come with deck layouts ranging from an uncluttered Sports version for ocean racers, and a targa-arched, dodger-equipped Leisure version.
Below decks, Jeanneau will offer the 60 with 19 different layouts spread across four living areas and up to six cabins.
Of note is that one of these new $1.2 million luxury sailing yachts is already shortlisted for Australian delivery.
The Jeanneau Yacht 60’s design features a deep freeboard with a high sheerline, an inverted bow with integrated bowsprit, a hull chine for helping the boat make the most of its waterline, and clutter-free walkaround side decks.
There is even enough space onboard for a 3.0-metre tender to stow in its own locker.
Jeanneau said the on-board layout included dedicated living spaces for relaxation, meal preparation (with an optional cockpit galley), reading, dining, and sunbathing.
Below decks, large windows stretching along the hull let in plenty of natural light, with the galley moving forward to where the bulkhead supports the mast step.
Owners are given the choice of fitting out the cabin space with two light-coloured timber finishes, and five fabric or leather covering options.
