2020 Stabicraft 1450 Series tiller-steer, side console range launched

Stabicraft’s smallest model gets a significant upgrade with the all-new 1450 Series Explorer and Frontier range

Stabicraft has launched the Stabicraft 1450 Series, a new generation of the smallest boat in its range, featuring the traditional pontoons, heaps of interior space and plenty of focus on fishing.

The new Stabicraft 1450 Series, which replaces the smaller 1410 Series, features the tiller-steer Explorer and skeleton side console Frontier models. The Frontier is available in either an entry-level Sportfish or more premium Profish specification.

“Stabicraft’s new 1450 series pays homage to one of the most successful and versatile boats in Stabicraft’s history, the 1410,” Stabicraft said.

“The 1450, however, is more exceptional than its predecessor in every way from thicker pontoons and floor, additional rod holders, cleats and Stabicraft’s Multiholders.

“With a larger internal volume and forward seating as standard you can do everything you’re used to doing in a 1410 plus much, much more.”

Standard features on all models include a bow seat; 4mm checker plate floor; four bow-mounted travel rod holders; raised anchor bulkhead that also serves as a casting platform; four coaming rod holders; bolt-in plank seat; starboard transducer bracket; and a split bow rail.

Longer, wider, more solid

“The 1450 Explorer is a longer, wider and more solid version of its predecessor,” Stabicraft said.

“It still gives you flexibility with a spacious tiller steer setup and added features like the forward seating, alloy rodholders and Stabicraft Multiholders as standard.

“It is the most well-appointed sub 5.0-metre open boat in its class.”

The slightly longer Frontier – it has a starboard landing platform extending off the transom as standard – adds a starboard skeleton console; an extra port transducer bracket; starboard skipper seat; 70-litre icebox; and a raised transom.

“With options like a bolt-on live bait tank and removable bait board, the 1450 Frontier Sportfish means you have all the basics for chasing down your favourite fish,” Stabicraft said.

Profish model

Meanwhile, the Stabicraft 1450 Frontier Profish adds a low windscreen to the console; stainless steel rod holders; removable bait board; a portside landing platform; and painted topsides.

“The 1450 Frontier Profish is a serious step up from the Sportfish version,” Stabicraft said.

“Coupled with optional features like port side dash and Fish Pro seats the 1450 Frontier Profish is ready to compete with much larger boats (and much larger fish).”

Compared with the Stabicraft 1410 Series, the Staboicraft 1450 Series is 120mm longer, adds 190mm beam, uses 0.5mm thicker alloy in the pontoons, and a 1mm thicker floor.
