An all-new 100-foot luxury yacht, world debuts from some Aussie favourites and even marine electronics that are right at the cutting edge of technology will all feature at the 2020 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.
Organisers behind the event today released details of the first of its exhibitors that have lined up for the show, with a luxury motor yacht built specially for the show – and the Australian market – slated to be one of the biggest visitors to the event, now in its 32nd year.
Leading the Aussie assault on the show will be Riviera, which this year celebrates its 40th anniversary. The Queensland-based luxury motor yacht maker is well advanced ahead of the global debut of its all-new Riviera 64 Sports Motor Yacht, while show-goers will be able to get up close to the all-new Riviera 505 SUV, which will make its Australian debut.
Brisbane-based rival Maritimo, meanwhile, says it will have several new model premieres at the show, including a fishing-focussed version of the Maritimo M59 flybridge modified under its Maritimo One skunkworks – the division within the luxury yacht-maker responsible for making owners’ perfect boats possible.
Any other surprises from either Aussie brand? We’ll have to wait and see.
Anyone shopping for a large luxury motor yacht will be spoilt for choice, with a number of other Australian-based and international brands keen to get new models in front of buyers.
Horizon Yachts Australia plans to exhibit the new Horizon FD80 Skyline, a smaller version of the Horizon FD85 that features floor-to-ceiling windows, and one of the largest vessels at the show, the Horizon RP100, an advance on the Tiwanese motor yacht-maker’s RP97 model.
The Horizon RP100, part of the brand’s series of raised pilothouse models, is being built specifically for the Australian market. Up to eight people can live aboard in comfort.
Princess Yachts Australia will show its new Princess F70 – the flagship of the British brand’s flybridge range – and the 38-knot deep vee-hulled Princess V65.
Alexander Marine Australia, which represents the Taiwan-owned Ocean Alexander and Polish-made Galeon brands, will host the local debut of the new Ocean Alexander 84R, the newest member of its Revolution series of luxury yachts. Joining it will be the much-awarded Galeon 640 Fly, which includes huge fold-down sides that increase the amount of living and entertaining space at the press of a button.
For those who appreciate the fine lines of traditional trawler-styled cruisers, Fleming Yachts will be back at this year’s show with the new Fleming F58 and Fleming F65 models.
The Flemings’ semi-displacement hulls are penned by Brisbane-based Norman R Wright & Sons, and built in Taiwan. The Fleming F58 slips into the model line-up between the Fleming F55 and Fleming F65.
Australian-owned Dutch brand Integrity Motor Yachts plans to use the 2020 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show to mark the debut of what it calls a “sleek and stylish” addition to its showroom, the Integrity 460 SX.
The Integrity 460 SX features a two-cabin arrangement, each with private ensuite, a higher roofline, and updated interior and exterior styling.
Integrity’s owner, Sanctuary Cove-based Whitehaven, will show build No.2 of the Whitehaven Harbour Classic 40 featuring a number of changes, including an engine upgrade to twin diesel Volvo Penta IPS engines, Twin Disc electronic engine controls, two joystick stations and autopilot.
Multihull Central will have its usual mix of power and sailboats at the 2020 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.
In the power cat class, the national dealer will show the new Aquila 36 with its balance of living and entertaining space, and the new Aquila 44, a vessel that comes with either a three- or four-cabin layout.
Of interest will be the upcoming Corsair trailerable trimarans – Multihull Central will have details on the models likely to be on offer once they are introduced here.
Multihull Solutions, meanwhile, has locked in the Australian launch of the Fountaine Pajot Elba 45 cruising catamaran, the Iliad 50 and Iliad 70 powered offshore bluewater passage maker catamarans and “several other vessels” that are yet to be locked in.
The 2020 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show’s largest exhibitor will be Coomera-based RIB retailer Sirocco Marine North. It will have 40 vessels on display, including the Brig Eagle 350, Brig Eagle 4 and Brig Eagle 5.
US leisure boat brand Sea Ray is expected to have two new models on show, including the Sea Ray 400 SLX OB wearing three outboard engines, and the lifestyle-friendly Sea Ray Sundancer 350 sports cruiser.
Queensland Marine Centre will have the all-new dive door-equipped Boston Whaler 280 Vantage in its nine-model line-up, while Mastercraft will have the Australian premiere of either the new Mastercraft X24 or X26 wakesurf boats – watch this space.
Marine electronics specialist Raymarine says it will have “an exciting new product” making its world debut at the 2020 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.
What that could be is open to speculation, but it won’t stop us suggesting it could be something to do with DockSense, Raymarine’s newest auto-docking function. We’re yet to see this system rolled out for smaller boats.
Navico, meanwhile, will introduce products including its Lowrance Hook, Simrad Halo20 radar, B&G Halo20 radar, Simrad NSOevo3S and B&G Zeus3S systems.
