Riviera’s all-new long-range sports cruiser, the Riviera 64 Sports Motor Yacht, has hit the water for its final fit-up ahead of a June reveal.
The Gold Coast sports yacht maker has released a video of the near-complete boat being craned into the water on the Coomera River ahead of final fit-out and water testing.
The video gives us a food look at the boat’s deep-vee hull that makes Riviera’s Sports Motor Yacht line such competent bluewater cruisers.
We can see other features for the first time outside a CGI render, such as the bow-mounted davit used to stow and deploy the tender, the through-bow anchor, and the three-panel saloon and flybridge windscreens.
As the Riviera 64 Sports Motor Yacht slowly rotates on the water under its own power, we also get to see the long windows that stretch along the hull, and the sleek lines of the deck that rake back from the flared bow to give the boat its distinctive on-water profile.
We also get to see the large cockpit with its two transom doors with the stadium-style mezzanine level looking out over it, and above the large aft space of the flybridge that greatly increases the amount of entertaining space onboard.
The Riviera 64 Sports Motor Yacht was due for a 2020 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show launch, but its world debut has delayed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and strict coronavirus control measures introduced in Australia.
The 2020 Riviera 64 Sports Motor Yacht will become the third, and smallest, member of the SMY line-up.
A new ground-up design, it is a striking contrast to its larger 68 and 72 Sports Motor Yacht stablemates.
The 2020 Riviera 64 Sports Motor Yacht features the option of three or four staterooms, covered mezzanine dining and aft gourmet galley, an internal staircase, pantograph door leading to walk-around sidedecks, and a foredeck featuring a spacious entertainment zone that also doubles as tender storage when not in use.
