Pirelli, the Italian tyre brand known more for its involvement in Formula 1 than offshore powerboat racing, has released a new rigid inflatable walkaround tender concept.
The Pirelli 1250, released as a scale model last week, was a joint collaboration between the future boat’s builder, Italy-based TechnoRib, and Swedish styling group Mannerfelt Design Team.
The Pirelli 1250’s clean-look design features forward and aft sundecks, a day area with an outdoor table, and a lower deck with a convertible dinette and head.
“The new Pirelli 1250 is the first model in a new product line created to satisfy the most demanding customers by reconciling the needs of sport, comfort and design in a versatile boat suited for use both on a daily basis and as a chase boat, or alternatively for mid-range cruising,” TechnoRib said.
Other branded centre console RIBs built at TechnoRib include the 4.5-metre Pirelli J45 Azimut Special Edition jet boat, the 13.7-metre Pirelli 1400 Cabin and the 9.0-metre Pirelli 880 L Edition.
The Pirelli 1250 will make its global debut at the 2019 Dusseldorf Boat Show, which runs from January 18-26.
Tecnorib is the official licensee of Pirelli-branded RIBS, a collaboration that has produced a variety of stylish craft including the Pirelli PZero 1400 Sport.
