Edencraft has teased the return of the 565 in a series of images posted on social media.
Few details are revealed in the images, although it looks like build No.1 will feature a single-piece wrap-around wavebreaker windscreen, a custom drop-down soft-top to help with storage, a dive door and a dash that's large enough to take the latest and greatest in marine electronics.
The images show the Edencraft 565 about half-way through its build. All the stainless steel work – including exposed cleats and bow rail – appears to be finished.
However, the Edencraft 565 looks as though it is yet to have its steering system and outboard engine installed.
The return of the Edencraft 565 will be an important milestone for the Geelong-based fibreglass boat-maker.
Its compact size is expected to not only make it one of the most affordable models in the Edencraft line-up, but it will also appeal to a new class of owners who want a boat that can run wide when needed but can still easily tow behind the family vehicle.
The previous-generation Edencraft 565 Sports included a 160-litre underfloor fuel tank
Edencraft also plans to bring the 233 Formula and the 6m Offshore boats back into production this year.
Each Edencraft boat is built to commercial survey standards and comes with a 15-year structural warranty.
