The Fountaine Pajot New 45, a luxury 45-foot cruising catamaran, has already snared 11 Australian orders in the wake of its global debut at this month’s 2018 Cannes Yacht Show.
Multihull Solutions, the Australian distributor for the French multihull brand, used the inverted-bow cat’s reveal to announce local pricing ahead of the New 45’s official mid-2019 launch – it will sell from $900,000.
Sydney-based Multihull Solutions, which also distributes the Fountaine Pajot 45 in New Zealand and the Asia Pacific region, said the 11 pre-orders it had already received was a record for the brand.

“The New 45 is designed by the renowned team of Berret-Racoupeau [performance sailing yacht designers Jean Berret and Olivier Racoupeau] and boasts energetic lines and inverted bows, and the incredible interior living spaces make her truly astonishing,” Multihull Solutions said. “This elegant catamaran also has a newly designed helm station to improve handling and long-distance cruising comfort.

“The catamaran delivers an abundance of light, an expansive cockpit opening onto an innovative saloon, and the largest lounge space of her category, plus extensive storage discreetly hidden from view.”
Depending on the version, both the master suite and guest cabin come with ensuites.

“The New 45 by Fountaine Pajot is enhanced by incredibly generous relaxation spaces on the foredeck, lounge deck and in the cockpit and has an innovative ‘Beach Club’ electric platform available as an additional option,” Multihull Solutions said.
It said the Fountaine Pajot New 45 “incorporates a bold design, unprecedented living space, a luminous interior and a revolutionary new below-waterline hull design to further improve performance”.
