Italian maxi yacht group Ferretti has launched the first of its 106-foot Custom Line hulls, the second in its new generation of made-to-measure planing boats.
The Custom Line 106 is a collaboration between Francesco Paszkowski Design, and the Ferretti Group’s engineering department and product strategy committee led by
engineer and part-owner Piero Ferrari.
“It embodies a new horizon in perfection, with meticulously clean-cut lines and large spaces steeped in simple sophistication, offering unparalleled comfort for the owner,” Ferretti said in a media release announcing the boat’s March 7 launch.
“The design of the lines on the bottom and the hull helps it to replicate and build on the
outstanding hydrodynamic performance of the latest models in the brand’s planing range.
“A minimalist design spans the interior and exterior, while the surfaces merge into each other in a display of architectural balance that breaks down the boundaries between the spaces.”
The Ferretti Custom Line 106 features 220 square metres of connected floor space lit via large full-height windows. A full-beam master cabin is housed in the foredeck, with another four standard cabins, including two with VIP status and two forward twins also built in. All the suites have bathrooms.
Ferretti said the Custom Line 106 would be unveiled for the first time in June during the Venice International Boat Show via an exclusive event for a select group of Ferretti owners.
The Ferretti Custom Line 106’s official presentation will take place in September at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
The Custom Line 106 follows on from Ferretti’s 120 Custom Line, the first of its new planing range. The 120 unusually features a pulpit instead of the gunwales that maxi yachts have more recently adopted, yielding even more forward deck space.
