Savage has launched the newest members of its Raptor dinghy range, with the 335 and 375 Raptor Extreme branded the “most adventurous” additions to the line-up.
The V-nose punt dinghy pair was initially shown at the 2018 Melbourne International Boat Show, and featured an increased freeboard compared with the other boats in the Raptor range, and a greater beam.
“Suited for river, creek and estuary fishing, boaties of all ages will find enjoyment out of this boat,” Gold Coast-based Savage said in a statement.
The two-model Savage Raptor Extreme range is rated at 15hp for the 355, and 20hp for the 375. Savage said the boats were a good size for off-road and camping adventures.
“Trailerable or a car topper, this dinghy intends to add excitement in the most remote areas,” it said.
The Savage Raptor Extreme boats come standard with grab rails for loading, anchor storage and a deep floor for comfort while on the water. The boats also have large front and rear bench seats with plenty of room in the centre for fishing and crabbing.
“Savage now has the most complete line-up of dinghies in Australia with the addition of the Raptor Extreme,” Savage Boats national sales manager Nick McCartney said. “This dinghy has the most volume in our cartopper line-up and is ideal for Australian adventurers.
“I can picture this boat in so many places, whether it be a kid who just graduated to a full-size dinghy, or a kid at heart who can’t get enough of the water.”
The Savage Raptor Extreme 355 measures in at 3.54m long with a beam of 1.53m and a depth of 0.73m. It weighs 84kg and is rated for four people.
The Savage Raptor Extreme 375 is 3.75m long, has a 1.77m beam, and a depth of 0.87m. It weighs 92kg and is also rated to four people.
