Recognised as one of the most important international events on the boating calendar, the Cannes Yachting Festival will bring together more than 600 yachts and other craft when it rolls out the red carpet and opens from September 6-11, 2016.
Whether it be Italian Riva, UK’s Sunseeker, France’s Jeanneau, America's Chris Craft or Australia's Riviera, the top boating brands are sure to excite with their latest innovations and world premieres.
There are areas reserved for the tenders, a Palais des Festivals world of the “nautical toys”, an exclusive La Terrasse offering panoramic views of the magnificent yachts on show in the Old Port, the Bay of Cannes, the Croisette and the Lerins Islands — this new area is reserved for the great names of the world of luxury and the art of good living — and Albert Edouard pier extending seawards with the superyachts.
The world’s largest selections of power and sailing multihulls, hundreds of smaller production motor boats, rigid and inflatable hulls, equipment manufacturers, and a nearby dedicated charter and brokerage area add to the heaving display.
Finally, a parade reserved for dinghies and dayboats of less than 12 metres is organised for 5pm on the Thursday. The Concours d’Elégance provides visitors with a unique spectacle involving old and contemporary boats parading as they have done in Cannes and the South of France for decades.
