For the eighth year running, Yamaha WaveRunners Australia has stepped-up as the major sponsor of the 2015 Yamaha Rip 'N Ride 8, which is set to rock the Sydney suburb of Cronulla this Friday and Saturday (September 18-19).
Renowned around the World as the premier surf PWC freeride event of the calendar, the Yamaha Rip 'N Ride is shaping up to yet again deliver the biggest and wildest freeride tricks ever witnessed on Australian shores.
Australian social freeride club Ozfreeride.com, has once again provided the forum for the Rip 'n Ride with the 110 rider entry tickets selling out within seven minutes on April 20. The entry list spans far-and-wide with international entries from the USA, Europe, Asia and South America.
"Social freeride events like the Yamaha Rip 'n Ride is the ideal platform for riders to learn and showcase their unique talents in a fun, safe and controlled environment," said Iain MacLeod, National Sales Co-ordinator for Yamaha WaveRunner. "In addition to the hotly-contested competition, the team operate rider development workshops, which allows the riders to mix it with the pros and learn some new tricks," he added.
As the main-event of the freeride calendar, the Yamaha Rip 'n Ride has grown in size each year, quadrupling in competitors and attendance since its conception in 2008. For 2015, the Yamaha RNR8 is destined to be the biggest Freeride event to date.
As always, spectators and competitors are in for a treat with big-name aerial titles up for grabs and the legendary presentation after party hosted by Northies Hotel, Cronulla.
The award presentation will award each entry with a sponsor-donated prize, with the top prize being a brand-new Yamaha SuperJet valued at over $11,300.
The highly anticipated Yamaha Rip ‘N Ride 8 is set to kick-off at Cronulla NSW on September 18-20.
