The inland surfing trend has become such a global phenomenon that MasterCraft has expanded its ability to deliver the longest and most customisable wave on the market.
The new X23, the latest in its line of luxury performance boats dedicated to surf, has been designed from bow-to-stern to mirror the best attributes of coastal surfing, the tow-boat specialist says, allowing even landlocked families to wax up a board and hang 10.
The X23 is the second, now larger addition to MasterCraft’s 2015 fleet to utilise an all-new surf-specific hull design.
PUSH-BUTTON WAVES
MasterCraft says its new 23-foot luxury watercraft has been engineered from the fins up to create perfectly shaped, customisable waves, thanks to its award-winning Gen 2 Surf System and surf-specific hull.
MasterCraft says it achieves this by custom fitting its deployable surf devices to complement the hull shape of each individual boat, even going so far as to individually machine the left and right sides to compensate for the rotational forces of the prop.
The shape of the wave can be instantly transformed using the futuristic, yet intuitive seven-inch Murphy touchscreen to match each surfer profile, including options for both goofy and regular riders.
The 1350kg of compartmentalised ballast serves to further sculpt and lengthen the wave, opening up entirely new surf zones for slashing, spinning and carving.
POWER AND PROGRESSION
The MasterCraft X23 comes stock with a 5.7 L Ilmor Marine engine and one of the sleekest, deepest hulls on the market, providing for a smooth, responsive ride. It’s said to be powerful enough for the pros, yet versatile enough for anyone to step in and learn wake surfing.
Innovative new transom lounge seats are optional within the aft sundeck, along with optional built-in camera mounts to capture the action. MasterCraft’s signature ‘hips’ and pickle-fork bow create a roomy interior able to accommodate 15 passengers, with plenty of integrated storage compartments that offer single-handed access.
Other standard inclusion are the sturdy, abrasion-resistant ZFT towers, JL Audio sound and entertainment systems that including five separate speaker zones, plus “mesmerising speaker lights and the ability to light up the wake at night.”
MasterCraft dealers are taking custom orders for the X23, which has the option of an upgraded Surf Décor Package with exotic tropical wood swim platform and beach/mocha interior.
The X23 comes standard with a five-year bow-to-stern warranty. More from your local MasterCraft dealer.
