The 2015 Brisbane Boat Show is returning to Brisbane Showgrounds for a four-day boating and fishing extravaganza from Thursday September 3 to Sunday September 6.
Now in its 55th year, the long-serving annual boat show is a fixture on the Queensland marine calendar. Across the four-day expo, exhibitors from all over Queensland will be showcasing their latest aquatic and outdoor products, including jet skis, boats, fishing equipment, accessories and more.
The 2015 program will feature live talks and demonstrations by industry professionals, as well as workshops and seminars catering not only to experienced boating enthusiasts but also first-time boaties. It's all about sharing a passion for the great outdoors and marine lifestyle, say the organisers Marine Queensland.
The 2015 Brisbane Boat Show also has something for everyone in the family, including the always-popular Yamaha Supertank and an interactive Kids Zone jam-packed with fun, free activities to keep the young ones entertained.
Organisers say they are exploring new ways to further develop the “infotainment” element of the show and say they will be making announcements about this and future boating events in the lead-up to the show which, will surviving more than half a decade, needs some fresh ideas.
"While the show has always included marine-related culinary demonstrations, expert advice on catching particular species, educating people about rules, regulations and best safety and environmental practices, we see potential to develop these elements event further," says Don Jones from Marine Queensland.
Jones says one of the key themes of the 2015 show will be that boating is a very affordable past-time that provides the best return on investment that a family can make in terms of lifestyle.
"And being the last major boating event for the year, it is also a great opportunity to make sure you have everything you need for the summer holiday season," he adds.
