2014 Multihull Solutions Whitsunday Rendezvous

Last chance to join the fun and five-star cruising at the 2014 Whitsunday Multihull Rendezvous
There are now only limited places available to join the event from September 1-7, which is recognised as Australia’s premier power and sail multihull cruising rally, says organisers Multihull Solutions. The multi specialists urge those who are considering participating in the event to sign up now to avoid missing out on a week they’ll never forget!
An extraordinary itinerary and a new swag of great prizes has made the upcoming 2014 Whitsunday Multihull Rendezvous one of the most anticipated cruising event of the year. The 2014 itinerary and entry form are online at www.multihullsolutions.com.au/events/2014-whitsunday-rendezvous and includes all the details for the week-long multihull event on the sparkling waters of the Whitsunday islands.
The event itinerary has been upgraded to include even more unforgettable events including a Welcome function at Coral Sea Resort with canapes and beverages pack, a mid-week dinner event on the prestigious Keel Deck of Hamilton Island Yacht Club, the famous Whitehaven Beach Prawn & Punch Party, and a final night presentation dinner at Long Island Resort.
The rendezvous comprises a host of casual cruising events with frequent stops for fun social functions, island exploring, bushwalking, snorkelling and relaxing. Entry is open to all brands of power and sail multihull of any size, privately owned or chartered. For those who are keen to enter but don’t own a boat or are unable to relocate their multihull to the Whitsundays, chartering options are available through a range of Whitsunday operators.
Multihull Solutions managing director Mark Elkington said the Rendezvous continues to grow in popularity because of its formula that brings together serious sailors and leisurely cruisers in a spectacular environment.
“When you bring together a bunch of fabulous multihull enthusiasts and provide a week of great rally action, social activities and relaxation time, you know you’ve got the recipe right for a memorable event,” Elkington said. “Many of our previous Rendezvous entrants return each year, and we are also attracting many new participants who have heard how much fun the event is,” he said.
“The Rendezvous is also the perfect forum for participants to view other catamaran and trimaran brands and models, while exchanging cruising stories and multihull tips.”
The Multihull Solutions team hosts the event on a lead boat and provides valuable information on maximising the performance and handling of multihulls, as well as offering advice on getting the most from cruising experiences.
