Organisers said SCIBS now holds a significant place in marine boat show calendars. Last year, records were generated with 456 exhibitors, more than 53,600 visitors and more than 4km of on-water displays. At least $260 million in sales were generated at the Show or as a direct result of the Show.
While mainly a big boat show, there are powerboats under 15m with Fountaine Pajot's Highland 35 Pilot and Cumberland 46 power trawlers; the Luhrs 35 Convertible and 31 Open Tower; and the new Pirate Sportcruz 340. Others in this category are Fjord's 40 Open Mark II and the Southern Hemisphere release of a Ranger Tug R21-EC.
SCIBS is staged at Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast, within an hour of Brisbane and Gold Coast airports.
There is no public or visitor parking at Sanctuary Cove, however, parking is available at Parklands (Gold Coast Showgrounds) off the Smith Street Motorway - take Exit 66 off the Pacific Motorway (M1). Streamlined park 'n' shuttle services operate during the Show.
Show hours are 9am to 5pm daily, from Thursday, May 22, to Sunday, May 25.
The Show is the largest on-water display of boats in the Asia Pacific region.
