New jet boat to excite market

The world’s biggest boatbuilder, Brunswick Corporation has just announced details of the all-new Sea Ray 21 Jet.

Sea Ray says the 21 Jet is everything a jet boat was meant to be, it combines the agility and athleticism of a finely engineered sport boat with the craftsmanship and comfort of a premium bowrider. In other words, this is a true boat, in every sense, says Sea Ray, with no detail unattended, no corners cut.

The bold new class of jet boat from Brunswick’s flagship brand is said to be in a class of its own. With a deep-vee hull and exceedingly shallow draft, the boat should be a good fit for skinny waterways like the Gold Coast’s Broadwater.

Among the key features are twin Weber MPE-850TC four-stroke engines, which are turbocharged and intercooled with Weber jet drives, clean-out ports and a grate system. An optimal thrust system facilitates neutral and, says Sea Ray, puts the boater in control of the craft at all times.

On deck, there is a dedicated transom walk-through, large integrated multi-tiered swim platform, comfortable bowrider seating, trick dash and Sony stereo (AM/FM CD with MP3 port). The Sea Ray 21 Jet comes on a matching tandem-axle trailer with surge brakes and swing-away tongue. Expect the local release during this year’s boat-show circuit. Virtual tour at
